How do we know?
The method
Before we intervene, we record the starting point: water access and quality, groundwater levels, land and mangrove cover, biodiversity signals and household circumstances. No baseline, no claim.
We document exactly what was done, where and when: structures built, saplings planted, ponds revived, toilets installed, people trained. Each is geo-referenced.
Outputs are counted and outcomes measured with methods suited to each system: survival plots, water-level loggers, water-quality tests, household surveys.
Restoration is judged over years, not days. We revisit sites seasonally and annually, using field teams, community monitors and remote sensing.
Where it matters most (carbon, and headline outcomes), figures are checked by independent third parties before we call them verified.
Every published figure carries its status, source and date. We report annually and correct publicly when we get something wrong.

Questions
Not today. Our blue carbon work is at the feasibility stage and no credits have been issued. If a project reaches issuance, it will be under a recognised standard, and we will say so clearly on the project page.
Because we would rather show a gap than a guess. Every metric carries a status (pending, estimated, reported, monitored or verified), and we only publish a figure once there's a source for it.
Yes. Most partners fund a landscape (such as the Sundarbans) or a system (such as groundwater) across several projects. Tell us what you're trying to achieve and we'll propose options.
We are headquartered in Kolkata and work across West Bengal, including the Sundarbans, and on the Odisha and Tamil Nadu coasts.
