Cleaning and reviving the ponds and small wetlands that store monsoon water, recharge aquifers and feed families.
01The challenge
Village ponds are the everyday water infrastructure of rural Bengal. Many are silted, polluted or shrinking, which weakens groundwater recharge and fish and food supply.
Removing silt and waste and protecting catchments, with communities deciding which water bodies matter most.
Wetland plants and natural filtration improve water quality with no running costs.
Water level, quality and recharge are tracked with the same digital-twin tools we use for groundwater.
03Community
Co-designed with pond user groups and village councils.
04Impact
